Amid tense moments at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), some students have followed the university‍‍`s instructions to vacate their dormitories, while many others have decided to stay put.

The ones who left are heading home, following their parents‍‍` advice.

However, a significant number of students have refused to leave, insisting they will remain in the dorms until their demands are met.

They have made it clear that they will not budge until the university’s Vice-Chancellor resigns, as part of their six-point demands.

In a bold move, the students have also given the Vice-Chancellor an ultimatum, demanding he vacates his residence by 10 AM on Wednesday.

In light of the growing tension, police have been deployed at the university’s two gates to maintain order.

The situation unfolded after KUET‍‍`s Syndicate meeting on Tuesday evening, where it was decided that students must vacate the dorms by 10 AM Wednesday.

Furthermore, academic activities have been indefinitely suspended, intensifying the situation on campus.
